+This lovely Copeland china topographical dinner plate is hand-painted with a scenic view of a river running through a valley in the Italian countryside. The serene landscape is surrounded by a rich cobalt blue octagonal border with gilt detailing, and the plate is signed by the artist W. Birbeck, and titled on the reverse. Founded by Josiah Spode around 1770, the prestigious Copeland Company's works are coveted by collectors for their intricate designs and skillful execution.
